Andreas Krueger is a postdoctoral researcher at UCD's newly established Innovation Research Unit IRU. He graduated from the University of Bielefeld, Germany, with a Diploma in Physics in 2003, and with a Doctor in Physics in 2008 (both with the mark "sehr gut" very good). This was following 2 semesters at Nanda in China, where he learned Chinese, and after he founded the Agency "Catapult Web Consulting" (web/group communication) with 4 employees. He was a tutor at the Akademie Brueschke, Bielefeld: eCommerce, communication, internet technologies. Andreas achieved a Dissertation Scholarship as a Scientific Collaborator with ARC systems research, Vienna; and he was financed at University of Bielefeld, by VW-Stiftung (I/80496). He worked on the EU FP6 funded project Network Models, Governance and R&D Collaboration Networks (NEMO, FP6/028875) while finishing his doctoral thesis there. His current research areas of interest include: Complex Networks, Social Network Analysis, Visualization and Analysis of "any data" by Network Methods, Agent Based Modelling in Innovation Research, Knowledge Representation in Simulation Models, Building a Computational Lab for Social Sciences.
