The IRU have been awarded funding from the UCD seed fund towards a lecture series contributing to 'Developing a Vibrant Academic Community' The IRU Lecture Series will focus on applying new modelling and simulation methods to innovation research such as agent-based simulation and social network analysis complementing quantitative and qualitative research in the social sciences. This series will feature researchers' reports of recent achievements in EU and domestic projects showcasing a hard science approach to innovation research, combining computational methods with detailed actor-level data on R&D, innovation output and performance of actors. These regular presentations (October 2010 - June 2011) are intended for both specialists and community members. All lectures are free and open to the public and no reservations are necessary.
